I bawled my eyes out on the way home, thinking what a disaster it must've been. But when I got my pictures back...beautiful. it made me truly feel that my life was the most beautiful chaos. Kayla was so kind and great with them, letting kids be kids and getting authentic pictures. And also making me feel pretty. Kayla is amazing and so is her work!

When you’re pregnant it’s often hard to feel confident, especially when your body is changing so much!
They're timeless, they're beautiful, and you're always such a damn joy to work with. You dont make things awkward and have great conversation the whole time, you're so patient with feral children, you help with posing and make things flow when they need to and always have a way with capturing the movement and emotion in those special memories. As insecure as ive always been, i have ALWAYS felt beautiful in the photos you take of me and my family.

I want every session I capture to feel genuine and authentic. The location that we choose, the clothes you wear, all of it should feel truly unique to you, your loved ones, and the story we’re trying to tell. I highly encourage you to let go of pre-conceived ides of perfection and embrace a session that feels honest and artistic.
Authentic storytelling
Building a connection between you and I allows for me to see who you are and what’s important to you, including the way you want to preserve your memories. As we connect, we’ll work together to create the best vision for your session and figure out how to authentically capture you and your loved ones. We’ll find just the right location, timing, activity, etc. that tell your story.

So exciting! During our session, I will be doing my best to photograph you in a realistic, documentary style. I want things to feel natural and honest. I will happily give prompts and encourage interaction between you all in order to capture candids and moments that feel real. Our session should feel fun and carefree!
Developing a vision for your session is something we will work together on. You and I will have a conversation about what you’re looking for and I’ll send over a questionnaire that can help me dig deep into what your session can look like and help me curate something that will suit your style.
Lifestyle sessions aren’t about being perfect or lining up in a row with the ideal smiles. They are a time for you to embrace the chaos and allow for that open mind I talked about before! Let your kid run wild, engage in play, and just enjoy every second. This is a time to be fully present in the moment and create a joyful experience. After all, we are aiming to capture who you all really are, it’s important to let that be enough.
At the end of it all, you’ll receive a gallery full of images that represent you all as you truly are! I will edit the very best photos from our session and deliver them to you in a digital gallery that you’ll be able to share with others. We can also walk through print options and find what suits you best.
